Festival Development & Evaluation

Dec 2017 - Jun 2019

Worked with the team of the first Scottish Comedy Film Festival (SCOFF) at the historic Campbeltown Picture House to deliver in-depth audience research, and contribute to the strategic aims and evaluation of the first festival edition for longer-term sustainability.

As part of the team, I curated and delivered two new live cinema events featuring comedy from the archives including the rare moment in 1919 when Sir Harry Lauder met Charlie Chaplin.

The Campbeltown Picture House is a Category A Listed building and one of the earliest surviving purpose-built cinemas in the UK. Recently refurbished back to its former glory, the Picture House is also returning as one of the key community-run hubs in the Kintyre region.

The second SCOFF took place in November 2019 and plans are afoot for a 2020 edition when we’re all back together again.

Follow @SCOFFFilm for updates.
